Job Profile:
§ Issue Manager is the owner of the Production process of a journal
§ The job includes managing the complete workflow of a journal from raw submission to print
§ By managing the complete workflow, it means managing Copyediting, Composition, Author corrections, and putting the Issue together (Compilation)
§ In doing so, the IM has to liaison and follow-up with Pre-press teams.
§ Check and ensure quality of each process. (Copyediting as well as composition)
§ Liaison with authors across the World, and have problems resolved for them.
§ Liaison with Press and co-ordinate the Printing and Subscription.
§ To explain overall, it is the IM’s responsibility to ensure the presentation of a page and the issue of a journal, within the stipulated time frame.
